    Alstom is a world leader in power generation and infrastructure, constructing some of Europe’s leading energy efficient and environmentally friendly power stations.

    Alstom recently signed an extension to its existing long-term service agreement at Dublin Bay Power Plant and required staff welfare accommodation for a planned Gas Turbine upgrade and Inspection project.

    Tight project management, organisation and strict adherence to health and safety procedures were paramount for this major outage of the power plant, so a turnkey solution was required, including design, complete project management and specific health and safety requirements.

Managing a large workforce remotely, for a project of this nature with such specific requirements, for just 12 weeks, meant it was imperative that we used a supplier who we could rely upon without fail.

    A total of 25 buildings were successfully supplied from the anti-vandal range, on time and on budget, for a variety of applications such as canteens and toilet and shower blocks to offices and storage. Portakabin provided a total project management solution to enable the hassle-free installation of the buildings, including: transport, electrical and plumbing hook-ups, external stairs and platform, office and canteen furniture, white goods and PAT testing on all electrical goods.
