After working for the business since she was 18, Kirstie Webster is an expert in all things modular. We caught up with Kirstie as she steps into her new role as Area Sales Manager after 15 years with Portakabin.
“I first joined Portakabin as a Hire Assistant at Nottingham Hire Centre and gradually worked my way up to Hire Manager. After a few different roles within the company, I am delighted to say I have now secured the role of Area Sales Manager.
“My favourite part about working at Portakabin is meeting and helping different people. Whether it’s a customer in a crisis who requires a building urgently, or working with clients to create their dream project, I love being able to be there for every step of the process.
“There is never a ‘typical’ day for me. I spend most of my week on the road, out and about visiting clients, as well as keeping in touch with my colleagues across the network to see where we can support each other and hear about some of the exciting projects going on in other areas of the country. As we work with so many industries including education, healthcare, manufacturing and retail, every day is completely different which is something I love about my role.
“2024 is going to be a great year for our teams, with lots of fantastic projects coming up that we will be able to share after completion. I’m really excited to get stuck in and help my clients create their perfect space.
“Outside of work, I love baking, holidays, and spending time with my family. It’s so important to have a work-life balance so I can switch off and thoroughly enjoy my own time. It makes the job even more rewarding!"
