Louise said ‘I was so proud to win an award for promoting responsible business through championing volunteering. York Cares have some great community challenges, and it was a real pleasure to get involved and promote volunteering opportunities to our workforce. This year we have done everything from gardening, maintenance, and even wrapping Christmas presents for local organisations. We’re really looking forward to getting involved again this year.’

As a business, Portakabin also received an award for its contribution to Community Challenges, particularly Chapman’s Pond where volunteers took part in tree planting and garden maintenance.
