Every aspect of Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week celebrates manufacturing & engineering excellence: expert speakers, industry-shaping influencers, visitors from the best manufacturers and engineering businesses around the world and the brightest emerging talent.

Design & Engineering Expo is made for designers and engineering professionals from all tiers of the supply chain looking to reduce costs, streamline and optimise future strategy.

With innovation at its heart, the 2-day, free to attend, event will allow attendees to uncover the latest technologies, learn from those breaking engineering boundaries and connect with suppliers to gain a competitive edge.

Bios of those attending

Shirley Swann
Shirley is the Business Development Implementation Manager driving marketing and business development activity through the commercial teams and two call centres across Portakabin. With this event, Shirley wants to change perceptions and create awareness of Portakabin in the manufacturing and engineering sectors and have meaningful conversations with key stakeholders to support with current and future projects.

Sarah Hewitt
Sarah is a Key Account Manager with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector and has been with Portakabin for 17 years. Sarah will be attending the Design and Engineering Expo at the NEC to meet old and new contacts in the manufacturing sector and to find out what is currently key to our customers.

Steve Cruden
Steve is an Area Hire Manager and is attending the Expo as he is excited to represent Portakabin and our products and services. He is looking forward to promoting what we do and talking to our customers within a very important sector for Portakabin.

James Evans
James is an Area Hire Manager and has been with Portakabin for 4 years. As well as using the exhibition as an opportunity to promote the great solutions we provide, he is fascinated by the massive innovations within UK manufacturing and will be looking to make key connections throughout the week.

Toby Welsby
Toby is a Graduate Business Development Analyst and has been with Portakabin for 18 months. Toby is hoping to gain new partnerships, learn about the latest industry trends, and gather insights to enhance our competitive edge. This event is a valuable opportunity to network with industry leaders and better understand how we can improve our product offerings to the sector.
