DPRTE – Bringing together the defence procurement industry

DPRTE connects buyers and suppliers from across the defence procurement and supply chain community – worth more than £25bn+ annually.

It’s a unique event that enables all stakeholders to learn about the latest developments shaping the future of defence procurement  – featuring extensive skills development, networking, collaboration and product showcase opportunities for MOD/public sector buyers and private sector organisations alike.

The government’s security, defence, development, and foreign policy priorities have recently been updated to reflect changes in the global context. The refreshed policies focus on the need to secure UK strategic advantage, achieve greater economic and industrial resilience, and contribute to national prosperity.

DPRTE provides buyers engaged across the defence and procurement community with an invaluable opportunity to meet with leading suppliers, who are actively delivering a diverse range of innovative products and services that can support both current and future procurement requirements.

Free to attend for the MOD and wider public sector, DPRTE  will bring together over 2000 key decision makers and provides a unique platform for networking, collaboration, education, and innovation.

The exhibition runs from 9am to 4pm with a wide variety of talks and seminars occurring throughout the day. There are seven different zones that are each hosting a multitude of different sessions. The Keynote Area covers topics that are applicable to all aspects of the defence and security sector. The Infrastructure & Estates zone reviews supplier relationship strategies, single living accommodation, infrastructure investments, asset risks, and Net Zero efforts. The Science & Innovation zone covers supply chain opportunities, intellectual property and knowledge assets, security clusters, and innovation throughout small and diverse businesses. The Digital & Tech zone covers AI, cyber threats, and the future of tech. The Supply Chain zone covers sustainable procurement, risks in a geopolitical landscape, and managing risks. The Procurement Act Skills zone covers aspects of procurement and frameworks. And finally, the Market Engagement zone covers international trade, export, strategic partnerships, and cyber security.

Phil Grubler
Phil is a Business Development Manager with key focus on the defence sector, changing the perception of modular construction across the public sector and responsible for the development and strategy of the defence sector. Phil is looking forward to attending DPRTE as it is a fantastic event with the opportunity to get right in front of people within the defence sector, to understand their challenges and discuss how we can help to overcome them.

Shirley Swann
Shirley is the Business Development Implementation Manager driving marketing and business development activity through the commercial teams and two call centres across Portakabin. With this event, Shirley wants to change perceptions and create awareness of Portakabin in the Defence sector and have meaningful conversations with key stakeholders to support with current and future projects

Rebecca Haslam
Becky is a Business Development coordinator driving business growth and has a record of exceeding targets and goals. Becky is attending this exhibition as it presents the perfect opportunity to meet and connect with current and new potential customers to generate new business opportunities

Anthony Hughes
Tony is the Pre-Construction Lead within the Sales team at Portakabin, leading the client engagement process on larger schemes, and has been with the company since 2018, coming from a background as an architect. Tony has a particular focus on design and specification an delivering to client requirements and over the last 12 months has been leading our development of solutions to providing Single Living Accommodation across a number of sectors based on a new modular product designed to provide a next-generation flexible, low-carbon, fire-safe, CTM-capable, sustainable platform. Tony has been involved with the DIO SLA Common Design Approach Project for the least year and has worked on the Portakabin tender for the Sub-Alliance Framework to deliver replacement SLA across the MoD estate. Tony hopes to contact teams and individuals from the estates to discuss the challenges and opportunities offered by the framework and the DIO SLA Common Design Model and the Portakabin approach to SLA.
