  1. Requirement

Henry Boot Construction engaged Portakabin to provide a temporary school building for Minsthorpe Community College while they constructed a permanent school. The temporary school needed to support over 400 pupils and staff with minimum disruption to the learning environment, providing peace of mind that the pupils would have safe suitable classrooms to work in whilst the main school rebuild was completed.

  2. Solution

Portakabin installed and handed over the building in just three months. Initial plans had been for a two-storey building but to avoid disruption on a tight site, Portakabin worked closely with Henry Boot to design and deliver over a three-storey building. Once complete, the building provided 13 classrooms, two changing rooms, a storeroom, staff room, meeting rooms and welfare facilties.

Portakabin provided a temporary teaching space for the DFE SRP Framework as part of the Minsthorpe Community Project. The temporary teaching space was delivered on time and to high level of health and safety whilst on site.
