Clifton Hall School

The Edinburgh-based Portakabin team developed a solution that would create a bright, quality building to meet the school’s needs and could be installed in a matter of weeks. The team at Portakabin worked closely with the school so that within two weeks of completion of ground works, a 196m^² single story building, made up of five Ultima Vision modules, was installed on site and ready for use.

Ultima Vision incorporates floor to ceiling double glazed wall panelling to maximise the amount of natural light inside the building. Solar glass is standard, providing a 40% improvement in shading coefficient compared to clear glass to prevent solar overheating. There are no internal columns, creating a bright, flexible interior space. The building also incorporates male, female and disabled toilet facilities.
