The Requirements
Carshalton Athletic was in need of a new clubhouse, quickly and on a tight budget, after their current building fell into disrepair. Portakabin specialises in this; providing facilities quickly, with no compromise on quality. Following a successful bid to the Football Stadia Improvement Fund, the club managed to secure a grant to re-establish the clubhouse. The new building would not only bring the club and community back together again, but also provide vital facilities for nearly 600 players and supporters.

The Solution
Andrew Mooney from Portakabin (Refurbished) says: “The clubhouse plays an important role within the local community. With the current building not up to scratch, the gift of the grant from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund meant they could not only replace but also improve facilities. Grass roots sport plays an important part in the development of players at the club and this new clubhouse building ensures vital revenue will continue to be brought in. We installed refurbished modules complete with electrics and smoked oak flooring. One side of the building has large windows to offer fantastic views of the action on the pitch during match days.”
The new clubhouse is fabulous and the Premier League’s investment, delivered by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund, has been essential to the project. It was a well-managed project delivered on time and budget and has proven to be a good commercial investment.
